DLL acquires 20% of Inquieto, demonstrating its commitment to sustainable mobility

Inquieto, a company of the Spanish multinational GAM (BME: GALQ), specialized in solutions for the sustainable mobility sector, today announced a 20% stake with DLL, a global asset financing company and a subsidiary of Rabobank.

Through this investment, DLL continues its support for the energy transition to net zero emissions through one of the main players in the last-mile distribution sector with zero-emission vehicles in Spain and Portugal.

The agreement will enable Inquieto to continue growing in Iberia and develop the market through solutions designed to optimize last-mile deliveries in a progressively more sustainable and efficient manner.

Pedro Luis Fernández, President and CEO of GAM and Inquieto, states, “These are great news for us and —I would dare to say— also for the increasingly common and necessary zero-emission last-mile deliveries. Having a partner like DLL, focused on sustainability, represents a contribution that goes far beyond new capital injection: it is a luxury.”

“Regarding the energy transition, Inquieto is building a promising future. They are ahead in the last-mile delivery sector, and we want to help them maintain that position while learning about this rapidly growing market.” This was expressed by Neal Garnett, President of DLL’s Global Business Unit for Construction, Transport, and Industry.

Inquieto operates in Spain and Portugal, covering five verticals: food, supermarkets, parcel delivery, public services, and pharmacy. Depending on the type of service and load, different vehicles are used. These vehicles navigate traffic and can access delivery points more easily than conventional vehicles. Inquieto’s fleet can distribute 20% more packages, optimizing the time and resources of logistics companies. Electric vehicles provide a more economical, dynamic, and environmentally friendly form of distribution, allowing the company to adapt to the needs of each sector.

Currently, over 1,500 Inquieto vehicles are on the streets of Spain and Portugal, with current clients including Closer, Seur, Getir, Uber Eats, GLS, Mahou, San Miguel, and Aravinc, as well as various municipalities.
