GAM has completed the acquisition of Barquero, a company specializing in the audiovisual sector. The transaction, involving an investment of just over three million euros, will nearly double the revenue of GAM's Events division.
GAM strengthens its strategic focus on growing in this industry, especially in corporate events. In line with this, the company had already made a significant investment last year in state-of-the-art lighting, sound, and structural equipment.
GAM now adds LED screens with resolutions of 2 and 3 mm—some of the most advanced on the market—high-performance projectors, video equipment, and black truss. Additionally, GAM Events enhances its services in this sector by incorporating advanced technological applications such as streaming, simultaneous translation, augmented reality, and mapping (image projection onto surfaces). It will also have special applications for event access control.
As a result of this acquisition, the operations center of GAM Events will be moved from San Fernando de Henares to Vallecas to utilize Barquero's facilities located in that Madrid district.
The Asturian company, already a national reference in the events sector, now gains increased creativity in video production and strengthens its corporate service offerings beyond the entertainment world.
