GAM acquires Recamasa and strengthens its leadership in the industrial machinery sector

The operation is valued at 7 million euros

Recamasa is one of the leading Spanish companies in the sale, rental, and service of forklifts, working for both large national and international companies, as well as the public sector.

 

The Spanish multinational GAM (BME: GALQ), a company specialized in comprehensive machinery solutions for industry, announces today the acquisition of Recamasa (Recambios, Carretillas y Maquinaria, SL), one of the leading forklift companies in our country. With this acquisition, valued at 7 million euros, the Asturian company strengthens its position as a leader in its sector in Spain.

Through this operation, GAM becomes the exclusive distributor of the forklift brand Yale®, one of the major industry references, especially in the central region -Castilla la Mancha and Community of Madrid- and Extremadura. Recamasa, which reported a turnover of seven million euros in 2020, with an EBITDA of 2 million and a net profit of 1 million, operates under the main quality management (ISO 9001) and environmental management (ISO 14001) standards. Founded in 1985, its clients include large multinational companies, Spanish SMEs, and businesses from various sectors.
