GAM joins the U.S. Chamber of Commerce in Spain to boost its international expansion

Madrid, October 4, 2023.- GAM, a listed multinational company specializing in comprehensive machinery solutions, announces its membership in the U.S. Chamber of Commerce in Spain (AmChamSpain). This agreement reflects GAM's commitment to internationalization and its goal of becoming a leading global operator.

AmChamSpain is the leading business organization representing the interests of U.S. companies in Spain. The Chamber has more than 270 member companies, with a combined turnover of 248 billion euros - approximately 26% of Spain's GDP - and generates over one million direct and indirect jobs.

The organization works from the private sector to continue adding value to investment and trade flows between Spain and the United States, thus supporting the competitiveness, productivity, and internationalization of the Spanish business sector. Similarly, it helps adapt the productive fabric to the new reality of technological revolution and multiple social and geopolitical challenges.

On its part, GAM has a significant international presence. Currently, it operates in 9 countries. In addition to Spain, it provides services in Portugal, Morocco, Saudi Arabia, Colombia, Mexico, Chile, Peru, and the Dominican Republic.

In line with this global aspiration, Pedro Luis Fernández, CEO of GAM, states that “being partners with AmChamSpain opens up a world of opportunities for business development in a country as strategic for us as the United States.”

Evidence of this, he adds, is the agreement with Hyster-Yale Materials Handling, an American company with 90 years of experience in the forklift sector, warehouse solutions, and high-level port operations, of which GAM Group is an authorized distributor for Spain, Portugal, and Morocco.

This incorporation also represents an excellent opportunity for exchanging information, best practices, and networking, “which will be provided by working groups such as Sustainability or People, Talent, and Corporate Culture,” Pedro Luis Fernández points out.
