LOGICEL's article on GAM: 'How to create a multinational Sustainability Project'

The Spanish Logistics Center magazine features a comprehensive report on GAM's Sustainability Project in its January issue

According to the Director of People and Culture, who also leads this project, an overview is provided of each area included and the initiatives undertaken.

The January edition of the Spanish Logistics Center magazine includes a report on GAM's Sustainability Project, titled "How to Create a Multinational Sustainability Project: Social Innovation, Sustainable Mobility Projects, and a Circular Economy Plant". It discusses the collaboration with EIT Innoenergy to implement this plan, which encompasses four major areas:

Circular Economy

Incorporating it into our business model with a machinery remanufacturing plant that allows us to give a second life to both parts and machines, reducing the consumption of raw materials and waste.

Sustainable Energy and Mobility

We have advanced in renewing our machinery fleet with electric alternatives, and thanks to TotalEnergies, we have installed nearly 500 photovoltaic panels to obtain energy from 100% renewable sources.

Additionally, with the creation of Inquieto, we promote sustainable mobility in the so-called last mile logistics as well as in the rest of the goods distribution.

Social Innovation

We focus on developing professional knowledge and skills and promoting job placement for young people in highly demanded trades through our School of Trades: Kirleo. At the same time, we launched the #CharlandoenGAM initiative, where we collaboratively enjoy insights from leaders in innovation, culture, and sustainability.

Transforming the Business

Through this project, we have developed an evaluation system (KPIs) to identify and assess the impact of GAM's different dimensions based on a set of quantifiable criteria reflected through a package of indicators presented in the Sustainability section of our website.
