With this operation, valued at 5 million euros, the Asturian company strengthens its leadership position in the machinery market in our country.
GAM announces today the acquisition of the business units of Intercarretillas and Interplataformas, dedicated to the rental, sale, maintenance, and repair of machinery. Intercarretillas is the leading distributor of the century-old Yale® brand in Andalusia, and Interplataformas is the Official Service Provider of JLG in that territory.
The operation, signed this morning in Asturias, had an Enterprise Value of 5 million euros, with total sales of both business units in 2021 amounting to nearly 4 million euros. The 26 employees currently working there will join GAM's team.
Intercarretillas was founded in 2000, with its main business focus on the rental, sale, maintenance, and repair of all types of forklifts, as well as their components and accessories. Interplataformas, on the other hand, was established in 2015 and is dedicated to the rental, sale, and brokerage of machinery and equipment, primarily platforms. Both operate in Andalusia, mainly in Málaga, Cádiz, Córdoba, and Jaén. Intercarretillas is an Official Yale® Dealer, and Interplataformas has the Official Service of JLG for the entire region.
