GAM, in collaboration with Grupo Lacera, offers certified facility disinfection
  • The goal of this new service is to create safe spaces and minimize the risk of contagion with all the guarantees and certifications required by the current environment.
  • The union of the two Asturian companies allows for the provision of certified disinfection services throughout the national territory.

The current health emergency caused by COVID-19, along with the gradual reactivation of work environments, requires reinforcing cleaning and disinfection in all types of facilities. To respond to the high demand for these kinds of actions, which are also carried out with all guarantees, two Asturian companies have joined forces to combine their capabilities in the service of industry.

The extensive material, logistical, and technical resources of GAM, with over 50 branches in Spain, are combined with the high specialization in cleaning and disinfection of Grupo Lacera.

The goal of these services is to eliminate or reduce the possible viral load in any location, offering different effective disinfection systems with virucides approved by the Ministry of Health. Their application includes factories and industrial parks, shops and shopping centers, freight and passenger transport, and public spaces of any kind.

The synergies of both companies, strengthened by their special positioning, allow them to offer certified disinfection services throughout the national territory. The close collaboration between the teams of professionals within these companies has been crucial in launching this initiative.

According to José Antonio Aguado, Product Manager at GAM, “since the beginning of the health emergency, we created a task force to analyze the demand for these types of services from our clients, many of whom are in essential sectors. We have been observing considerable misinformation, so we have carefully analyzed the different options, and the high specialization of Lacera provides the guarantees we consider essential to offer the service with rigor. Of course, we are continuing to research options to incorporate into our offering.”

Meanwhile, Marian de la Cera, Technical Manager of Environmental Health at Grupo Lacera, adds, “GAM offers us the possibility to complement our services to expand the scope of action. For us, GAM's logistical capacity and resources, and its reliability in all types of industries, were decisive in advancing this collaboration. On our part, we provide the necessary requirements to certify the disinfection tasks to be carried out; we are registered in the Official Register of Biocidal Establishments and Services, and all our staff have the specific training required for handling these substances. We only work with virucides authorized by the Ministry of Health and follow the Good Practices Management System according to UNE-EN 16636-2015.”

Some of the disinfection systems provided by this new service include nebulizer cannons, thermography, and manual cleaning by nebulization, thermonebulization, or directed spraying. Another interesting option is custom projects, in which the specific needs of each case are analyzed with the client to create the most effective solution.
