Kirleo and SODECO collaborate on digital skills training for SMEs in the central mining basins of Asturias

The “Digitalízate con SODECO” program will operate in the mining regions of the central area of Asturias

Through this platform, Kirleo, a member of the Digital Skills and Jobs Coalition of the European Commission, offers a complete range of subjects in its training itinerary, from digital communication or content creation to information processing or online security

Kirleo, an international training company from the GAM Group, has just signed a collaboration agreement with the Society for the Development of Mining Regions of Asturias (SODECO) for digital skills training of employees and managers of small and medium-sized enterprises through the “Digitalízate con SODECO” program, focusing on the Nalón Valley and the Caudal Valley.

Through this agreement, which initially lasts for one year, Kirleo is responsible for providing the platform, methodology, and online training content, as well as the instructors for the online classes and responding to any telematic assistance requested by the students. For in-person training, Kirleo also offers both teaching staff and training spaces in Asturias, provided that the minimum number of students is 10. In addition to managing student enrollment, Kirleo will also handle the management of credits from the State Foundation for Employment Training (Fundae) and offer classrooms for training to companies that request them.

SODECO, for its part, is responsible for promoting the “Digitalízate con SODECO” program and its training competencies among organizations operating within its territorial scope. Additionally, if necessary, it will provide participating companies with informational support to obtain the Fundae bonus, as well as provide spaces for in-person training at its centers in the Nalón and Caudal basins, in El Entrego and Mieres, respectively.

The project places special importance on digital skills training for employees of companies established in these areas –which could also be extended to other groups such as freelancers and particularly vulnerable groups like women in rural areas, with specific funding lines identified through EU FSE/FEDER/Next Generation funds– and is aimed at all types of profiles from any company and activity sectors, with a needs analysis conducted beforehand, adapting the training itinerary to their specific requirements.

The curriculum includes subjects such as digital communication, content creation, and information processing or online security, with guidelines to ensure both device security and protection against cyberbullying.
