The organizers of the largest surfing event in Spain and the multinational machinery company have reached a sponsorship agreement to support the setup of the championship within the World Surf League (WSL) calendar. The collaboration will centralize and streamline the management of the various resources needed to build the village of over 4,000 square meters that will serve the sporting competition. GAM will provide lifting, handling, and cleaning machinery, as well as crucial areas for the event's development such as generator supply, signage, and giant screens where the surfers' efforts on the waves can be viewed live from every point of Pantín's iconic hill.
“The event setup has grown significantly over the last three years, and having the sponsorship and support of a prestigious company like GAM, which is present at many of Spain's major sporting and musical events, means a lot,” says Miguel Galeiras, president of the Club Praia de Pantín and organizer of the Pantín Classic for the past eleven editions. “With GAM, we centralize a large part of our needs into a single provider when creating the small city that Pantín's hill becomes during ten days (from August 24 to September 2), and that provides a significant advantage because it ensures efficiency in addressing any issues that may arise both before and during the event,” Miguel emphasizes.
